1. What is WinCE Traveler's Companion?
WinCE
Traveler's Companion is a series of Traveler's companion applications
that let you communicate easily in just about any language. CE Traveler's
Companion is a breeze to learn and simple to use. With the convenience
of a HPC or HPC Pro powered by Windows CE, the bi-directional traveler'
companion application acts as a personal interpreter and will be
a must have for anyone who do any travelling all over the world.
With the help of a Windows CE device, communicating with the locals
will be as easy as selecting what you want to say and the traveler's
companion translates it to the target language in grammatically
correct form. Best of all, the CE Traveler's Companion application
is bi-directional, this allows someone who does not speak English
to convey their idea to you in easy to understand English.

2. New Features:
- Bi-directional "Interpreter" lets native speakers select their own language to be translated.
- Categorizing over 50 topics to meet what traveler's "on the go" needs. traveler can easy pick up the topic and select the question or answer to "talk". Traveler's Companion is a truly "on the go" application.
- Bi-directional Soft Keyboard let you input the language you select. Soft Keyboard also works together with Hard Keyboard. You can easily use multiple input options to input text.
- Bi-directional Search function let traveler to search the native language.
- Supporting Unicode text format, Traveler's Companion is compatible with WinCE UniWriter or MS Pocket Office. Traveler can copy and paste the traslation into UniWriter to edit.
- Traveler's Companion Pro version is a text-to-talk enable application.

3. Getting Started
- Install CE Traveler's Companion into your CE unit.
- To start the application from the Start menu, click the Traveler's icon in the Programs folder.
- After starting application, choose Language from the Language options selection.
- Select a topic from the topics list category.
- Click "Go" button.
- Pick up the question or answer from the "A and Q" list.
- To search a question or answer, See "How to" Section.
- To input the text, See "How to" Section.
- To exit the application, click Exit button.

4. WinCE Traveler's Companion® "How To"
4-1. Using Soft Keyboard
- After starting the application, choose the Language from the Language options selection.
- Click the Soft Keyboard Button to show the Soft Keyboard.
- To Move the Soft Keyboard to certain position, click the soft KB title bar, hold down left mouse button then drag, move and drop to that position.
- To input text into Search Text Box, select the Search Text Box first, then use soft keyboard or hard keyboard to type in the text.
- Soft Keyboard works together with hard keyboard after activating the application. You may use one the them to input.
- To change Soft Keyboard layout, choose the language from Language Options selection and activate the Soft Keyboard.
- To close Soft Keyboard, click the close button on Soft Keyboard title bar. Note: Even you close Soft Keyboard, Hard Keyboard is still activating until the application close. Change the language selection to change Hard Keyboard layout.

4-2. Searching the "Q and A"
- After starting the application, choose the Language from the Language options selection.
- Input the text into Search Text Box. See "Using Soft keyboard"
- Click the Search Button.
- To input searching text from different language, choose the Language first then input the text by using Soft Keyboard or Hard keyboard.

4-3. Copying the Translation
- After starting the application, choose the Language from the Language options selection.
- Repeat the Steps provided in "Getting Started" Section or "Searching the 'Q and A' Section to pick up the Question or Answer.
- Click Copy Button to copy the text into clipboard.
- Activate the CE UniWriter or one of MS Pocket application, paste the text to edit.
- Copy function works only on default language which means you can only copy the text of the language you choose.
4-4. Building your own Database
- This section is available on Traveler's Companion® Pro version.
- Use the Soft Keyboard or Copy function to input data into your own database.
- Use Traveler's Companion application to display or search your own database.
